Marriage

Scripture and prayer for a marriage in a hard season.

A Scripture

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."

1 Peter 4:8

A Little Hope

Marriage is not held together by feeling close every day. It is held together by grace repeated, small kindness after small kindness, especially in the seasons that feel quiet or hard. God is not finished with your marriage. He is often working most in the parts that look the least impressive.

Pray This

Lord, You see my marriage exactly as it is today. Soften what has grown hard. Give me patience where I have run out and words that heal instead of wound. Help me love the way You love me, faithfully and without keeping score. Amen.

One Step Today

Tell your spouse one specific thing you are grateful for in them today, without adding anything else to it.

Reflect

Where do I need to offer grace in my marriage that I have been withholding?
